A taste of tapas
in the heart of Dallas...
There are a wide variety of tapas in Spanish cuisine that are served both hot and cold. In fact, these small bites have evolved into an entire culture whereby Spanish patrons can grab a quick snack while out having a drink or combine an array of tapas to create a delicious meal.
Tapas comes from the word, Tapar, which in Spanish means "to cover". Some believe the name originated sometime around the 16th century when tavern patrons would place slices of Spanish ham or cheese on top of their drink glasses to protect them from fruit flies or dust. This "covering," or tapa, could then be eaten as a snack.
Si Tapas invites you to come and enjoy an authentic Spanish experience while you try a wonderful assortment of Spanish tapas and entrées carefully prepared by Executive Chef Jose Luis Lopez and his team.

"Tasty tapas star at this hospitable Uptown spot set in an old home with a glorious backyard; there’s an all-Spanish wine list too, and delicious sangria to wash down the small plates."

"What followed was divine: juicy, rosy lamb chops; sautéed asparagus, with a slight crunch and flecked with Idiazabal cheese; a full round of Spanish tortilla, perfectly room temperature and zigzagged with aïoli; and crunchy grilled fennel, sprinkled generously with salt. We enjoyed all of this in the cozy back room filled with other convivial patrons. For a minute, I forgot we were in Dallas."
